Thump, Thump Thump...As we pound upwind in lumpy seas to get to Salt Island for a dive and then onto the Baths...Lots of wind, why are we thumping instead of sailing? Well because one more time we don't have the time needed to sail in order to get everything in the guests want to do...
I am basically here holding my desktop on the table so it does not fall off!
I usually do a cooked to order breakfast on board, i find it has worked out better as I am not making a bunch of stuff that guests won't eat, and those who always like hot breakfasts can have them and the same with light breakfasts. I always know with this charter to put on a lot of eggs...and for your reading pleasure here is what my cooking order was this morning.
3 eggs over medium, bacon and toast
Cheese omelette
1 egg hard, 1 pc of bacon, 1 piece of tst with a slice of cheese
Oatmeal with 2 pcs of buttered tst (diet thing, he says he is going with eggs tomorrow!)
2 western omelettes with toast and bacon
1 ham and cheese omelette well done
2 orders of Fried sunny side eggs, bacon and toast
Last nights kitchen looked interesting too, nacho's, ribs, potatoes, cheese and lots of it all. Not too many vegetables in sight for this group!
Joe is a great jokester in this group and Connor is not quite sure what to make of him. When Joe brought the sun tan lotion, Connor decided he was Making His Stand and refused...
This ALMOST turned our well, the Pelican taking off last night from the water...
Got heavy cream in my order this week to make ice cream, half way through making it this morning I realized that it was totally solid. Sigh. Life in the islands!
I went in to see Bazza's workshop and boat on this turnaround, I had not been in it for a couple weeks. I was absolutely gobsmacked! WHERE did he get all this stuff from? Was most of it on the big boat? He is like a little squirrel and has workshops and bits everywhere we live! I looked at all this in the shed and thought "guess we aren't traveling to other countries in the Caribbean too much"
Bazza mentioned that we could have given all the children on of these LARGE suitcases that you have to pay a ton of money to take on a plane nowadays, instead of the small duffels and then we buy a new one every time. Can't argue with that!
Part of the storage locker looks like a Home depot with sinks and other stuff waiting lined up to be installed on the yacht...I never knew we had a dog though, looking at the moist and meaty box...but maybe it is rations for the boys?
And I just never knew he had this many tools!
I also noticed that there were things that were pirated from Promenade that Felix is busy installing on Buoy Boy.....! The nerve...
