BVI SCUBA diving

You know that i like SCUBA diving when the day I get off charter, instead of food and movies my thoughts turn quickly to "where can I take my camera in the water?"

And yesterday afternoons answer was Blonde Rock over between Dead Chest and Salt...

Took Cam and Rhonda off of Quest with me, as they had not dove there before...never mind that I found out after the dive that it was only Rhonda's 6th dive!!! Here I thought she had done dozens, and I had her kicking into current and surge and going under overhangs...




2 horse eyed jacks wandering around the boat....We took the Bingo Bus out for a run...


Never mind that they look like they are diving in Canada with all this neoprene stuff on and I have a tiny little rash guard! No, we are not talking about the fact that they have a lot less natural insulation then I do!!!






They came up from the dive going "what lobsters"?




A nice little Spadefish posed perfectly for me...


And a good sized Hogfish on the dive as well...




And to finish off the dive we have a little Trumpet Fish who posed nicely as well...


This afternoons dive is going over to the Rhone since Rhonda has not had a chance to dive that either! I wonder if she realizes that by diving with me she will become a pro diver and be able to do advanced dives VERY quickly......

I know how many people love dolphins, so I will post this in a few places...

I was absolutely amazed to see two dolphins ready to play pop right up with me when I jumped in the water at the Baths two days ago. They basically stayed with me for the entire dive, and clearly wanted to play. We tossed around a bottle that they w ould pick up with their noses, did summersaults, stood on our head and feet and all sorts.

They were quite curious about me..I was trying to take pictures but not scare them off with my strobes AND mimic them too while we played.

I had a dive about ten years ago on the Chikuzen were many dolphins came by, for awhile, but this was the best dolphin experience I have ever had here.

Just a note, I have seen more dolphins then normal lately....

How about my barracuda underneath the boat at Salt Island? I just finished saying on my other blog that I was dove out for the next few days and then I saw this picture and thought it would be nice to go in the water again!

Dumped the laundry, sprayed every inch of this boat today for bugs, got roast beef sandwiches from Ample Hamper, answered the most important emails, and now I think a nap is in order before i continue on trying to sort out all my work that needs doing and emails that need answering and charters that need contracts done up on!

Well, the last bit is mostly my sister's job, but since she just got back from a week in Tokyo, her hours are a bit messed up!
