I am not sure that it is humanly possible to be this tired!
The first night before it officially opened there was a crew social, which we sent Richard and Lisa off to! They only have a few more nights left of socializing left! I stayed in bed!
A few pictures of the boat ready for the boat show.

Everyone is calling us the "toy boat" Yeah, that works for me!

The next morning bright and early all the brokers started checking in. Here is the USVI tourist office booth

And the VICL booth (who put on this show)

And one of my favorite brokers, Kevin from Mainsail Charters! Doubly favorite as he was bringing down checks for a charter he booked this winter!

The marina here at Yacht Grande is lovely. Also because of where it is, it is hot as hell! I thought I was going to melt away by 11 in the morning! They have lots of high end stores in here, and I don't mean Walmart, I mean Louis Vuitton etc. Rumor has it that they were not allowing people to walk through this marina, ie the cruise ship passengers needed to go around, and then they realized that they needed customers for these stores and there were no boats in here so they opened up a pathway in the day. The night before we pulled in here I checked the website for the rates, and then went and asked Bazza if he had gotten a rate quote before he checked us in here, as I was seeing $5.75 per foot per night!! Yeek! No marina is worth that to us!!! So I quickly went on the VICL site and saw a show special of $1.25 a foot! Much better! Very hot in this marina. the wi-fi does not hit around all the docks, but you can plug into very fast service at your slip. The cable TV is so so, BUT the marina was tailormade for our height, as we could walk off the deck right onto the boat, a flat surface! Quite spread out around the marina to walk to the various places as well, but nice.
Here is TSHIRT 1.
Tshirt1 We get all our tshirts on the boat from them, they give us great prices, super fast and friendly service and we just love them!

I expected to see most of the brokers in puddles on the dock by 1 it was so warm. We went over to the hot dog stand to get us hot dogs for lunch, and let me tell you, she would not make it in New York! It took her forever to put together our expensive hotdogs!
The little restaurant her WIKKD is quite good and reasonable, but we did not think we would have much luck getting in and out in an hour that lunch break was on!
It was pretty steady all day long with brokers coming by the boat, and they both had their game faces on!.
We all made our way over to the tent in the evening for the opening ceremonies which featured the Governor speaking. One thing I noticed, unlike the BVI side, I could actually understand their english here!

It was a black and white reception, and they had a cash bar and a free bar. I think the free bar was stocked better then the cash bar was so you know where everyone was don't you! I must admit that a few vodka and cranberry juices made their way into my hands as well!
We were all waiting for some snackies though, and the marina passed some around, they were wonderful, but 5 little nibblies does not a dinner make!
They had lamb wrapped in bacon with taziki sauce, and I do not do lamb, but the ratio of food to vodka was way off so I had a couple and they were good! We also had a couple crunchy deep fried shrimp that were excellent and some goat cheese. Richard and Lisa tried to position themselves near the waiters as they came in with the trays, with apparently less then successful luck. Richard did a real stupid move and poured red wine all down Lisa so she had to go change!

I was way across the tent from them, but Richard spied me taking a picture during the speeches, however, Lisa looks like she is sleeping!

One of the boats I told the crew to go see while they were here is Conundrum. An older boat, but they have it in wonderful shape. Just came down from New England. What I wanted them to see though, was the VARNISH! Everywhere!! soles, heads, walls everywhere and all immaculate!

The outside is very pretty with just some varnish, but the inside varnish really made me happy that i did not have the boat!
We sent Richard and Lisa off to the Bacardi seminar and now the tram party at Paradise Point, and we are headed to bed! Tomorrow is the last day of this show.
