Well my pictures are not as exciting as Lisas! My poor little grouper probably thinks that i have abandoned him!!
We are sitting with our feet up at a flying J truck plaza in London Ontario. We were going down to Burlington tonight, but we were just too tired! We spent a few days trying to get my son sorted out and moved into a new place. He refused to go back to the old apartment. We managed to get his furniture into a storage locker until we could figure out a new place. On Thursday we went up and got my middle son Christoper, and took him up to where he grew up when he was younger at Kincardine on Lake Huron. He thought that it looked much smaller than what he remembered.

I have to say that in the 24 hours we were there I did more sightseeing then I did the entire time that I lived there! We went up the lighthouse, walked down the pier, walked around the harbor, went to the Bruce Nuclear plant to the Visitor center, and went back to eat at the old restaurant I used to own there many years ago. Then we drove up to Port Elgin to visit the dive store that I took my initial training that started my love of diving all those years ago. Doug and Judy Freiburger own Groundhog Diving there and we visited with them a couple times this weekend.
We also went to visit Heather and Brian, Heather is a young girl who started working for me as a cook in my restaurant about 12 years ago, if not more, and has also worked on the boat for a few months. She has done really well and they have a nice place out at the lake. It was really nice to see them. Although they are true Canadians, there was no snow on the ground, so god damn it, they were going to sit outside in their outdoor kitchen ! Bazza and I shivered and found blankets. to put over our laps.

Lisa, this girl Heather reminds me of you very much, and I know you told me that you were threatening to take away Richards internet privileges as he seemed to be lagging in enthusiasm to varnish (go figure) Here is the perfect answer and one that may work for you! Right inside the door, every time Brian goes in or out, is a large blackboard with his "to do" list. Now, she did it all pretty in different colors, with a beautiful picture of a flower, and nice and neat, but there is no mistaking the meaning of the board! Maybe this is something you need on your cabin door for him to hit his head on daily! It was mentioned to him several times that it was not completed yet, and it is labor day weekend!!!
We feel like we have been running like crazy, we took Chris back to London as he had to work Friday night, planning on hanging around there for the weekend and visiting with him while he was not working. chris is going out to the west coast tomorrow to visit my parents for a few days and then to Edmonton to spend a week with his older brother chad. It turned out we then had to go back to Hamilton, just in time to walk in the pouring rain from the tails of Ernesto looking at apartments, and then go back to Port Elgin, back to London to pick up Chris and then back to Hamilton. I swear that it is less work doing charters then this! We keep on waiting for our holiday to start. We have been so busy in the last week we have not even turned on our satellite TV at night, at that is just not right!
Hopefully another few days and we will get children sorted out and then we can go hang out somewhere for a few days where it is quiet! My cupboards still just have everything thrown in them from when we bought everything for the RV.
It sounds like things are going well on the boat, and I am still ecstastic to miss the varnishing and painting this summer. I won't recognize the boat when I return.
I heard the overturned barge had a crew that went to sleep after putting it on autopilot, hit a rock, probably Blonde, and then their pumps could not keep up with the water in the hole, so over they went. I also heard a joke someone wondering if it as one of the Peter Island ferry operators, and I thought that was very funny! Someone is in trouble anyways.
The BVI tourist board and the BVI SCUBA Operators are putting together details for Wreck Week here at the end of May in 2007. We will be offering a dive trip for that as well, stay tuned for more information on it.
Glad to hear that they dove and visited my grouper and he is still there, up here they seem to have pigeons and seagulls that are about as big as small dogs! They really are much larger than our booby birds.
We have been enjoying the food up here though, but our waistline is quickly gaining back everything we lost from swimming daily for the last year! We are not going to quit eating though!!!
