We have spent a very relaxing day at Salt Island. Bazza is working on the ROV and I am not even sure what I have been doing! About 230 or so I figured it was time to get in the water and see what the fish life was doing today.
I was quite excited to see this thorny oyster, it was as large as a side plate anyways, and unusually, it did not have all it spikes torn off! Also there were little crabs living on him!

There is two small lobster here, sitting under this box, the one on the left is quite small and the one on the right is just a baby...

Here is a close up of the baby one...

I managed to see many octopuses' and this one I caught outside his lair! He was not that large...

And here he is close up too....He did however, have a LOT of shells outside his lair!

Lots of fish life on this old engine block....

These are always in the shallows at Salt Island. I am not sure if they are juvenile Permits, or some type of pompano or what. I thought Permits because there is usually a large one or two around here. I love their wing like fins!

Came up to another nice sunset tonight and I hear rumours that tomorrow if it is flat we are going to go out and dive the Chikuzen! That is exciting!! But now, it is on to play my scrabble games and go watch some more Mad Men....
