Our sleeping hours are still a bit messed up, so it was about 10:30 or so when I rolled out of bed, only to find out that Depression #2 that they had stopped issuing bulletins on the night before, was now calling to be be a tropical storm coming over us on Monday morning, never mind the "big one" that is facing us later on in the week...I knew immediately that a trip to the hurricane hole was probably on the menu for the day.
Simeon, was being quite ambitious and is in the process of moving things from Promenade over to his boat...I am not sure how he collected so much stuff but I am sure he did not fly here with it all!
No wonder he had to buy a boat to haul it all..

Of course I took a picture and then told him that he may not want to be quite so ambitious as it looked like we were going to tie up boats today probably! I am not sure he was impressed....

I was even less impressed when I saw the wheel barrels full of lines coming down the dock to the boat. After being in the storage locker for a year they are probably full of all kinds of cockroaches and dead rats or some such!!!

Things were about to get worse for Simeon though, as he was elected to go dig up our anchors and lines in the bay that keep Promenade off the dock. He said the anchors were totally buried about 3 feet in the muck, just in case anyone thinks it is a good idea to go swimming there...

We left Simeons dinghies, all the kayaks, bimbo mats, coffee table from the cockpit and a few other goodies in the storage locker on land so we would not have to deal with them and prepared to shove off. As we were doing that, Seabattical came back in. If you own Seabattical, Bazza says that it is missing a lot on an engine cylinder, has something around the prop or both! Free notice!

We gave Simeon the option of towing his boat with Promenade up to South Sound or sailing it himself, he chose to sail himself, so we hope he gets here before any hurricanes! Anyways, for those who may be starved for a Simeon picture, here you go! Occasionally I get a good one...

Here is looking at the positive, it is about 45 minutes closer to get to South Sound from Harbourview then it is from Roadtown, it often feels like forever to get up here...Annie from Cuan Law phoned to see when we were going in and to save their spot until they could get in as they are on charter at the moment...
Coming around the old copper mine on the other side of the Baths...

Yep, the boat already looks bare as we are just coming into South Sound here...I am sure we will be stir crazy if we have to stay here a week though!

There is a couple more "semi docks" and "landing zones" around in South Sound here now. I "think" this is where there is supposed to be a little restaurant, Jumbies, which would be nice if we were stuck up here for a week!

The sun going down over Virgin Gorda...

South Sound Villa....

I was happy to see that we may have some beach scavenging opportunities up here, hurricane entertainment, looks like a nice large orange buoy/fender!

And by the time we find the mounds of conch shells, we are in mosquito and mangrove heaven, early enough that no one is in our spot anyways!. Nice high tide so we could back into the mangroves, and turtles popping up all around us!

Had to throw in this picture, as one of our pirate "girls" Donna, sent us down a care package that included numerous household type thingies AND a scottish flag for Simeons Boat! It was a fun package to open Donna! Thank you!! She is also the only guest I have ever known who sent BACK a bathroom sink drain that she had inadvertedly packed in her luggage (you can see it in the front of the picture!)

Anyways, time to try and go to sleep earlier, as we are expecting Simeon hopefully in the AM, and as well, we have a friend from Texas who is flying in tomorrow that will just have to meet us in the hurricane hole instead of Tortola! (I know, most people run AWAY from hurricanes not toward them), but, he is from Texas!!!
