This does not look like charter guests I bet! It is not, it is our granddaughter Ella! Getting fat and happy! (I just about called her our niece...I think I am getting younger!)
We dropped our fun filled families yesterday morning at the West End Ferry dock and then had to do the LLLLOOOONNNNGGGG plod back up to Marina. The seas and wind were up and we it was kind of a miserable trip.
Turnaround is a bit different after last charter, as we throw out things that were "just making it through the season" clean, strip and put everything away, gather up the food items that I will NEVER use in the off season and give away, you know, that kind of stuff. Dry out bilges, clean out potato lockers, defrost fridges and freezers... In other words, lots of hard work!
Brent is flying out tomorrow as he has weddings in Canada and SImeon, has lots of work to do on the boat. We are catching our breath and I am sure the ROV will be back on board by tomorrow with Bazza working away on it! I am looking forward to SITTING at Salt Island for a week and getting some picture taking underwater done!!!!
It always takes a few days for it to sink in that season is actually over, although I would not be surprised if we end up doing more charters, short or long over the off season as there is not too many boats around at all!
Most have to leave the area for insurance requirements, or are hauled out.
I am NOT baking another loaf of bread or buns for MONTHS!!!
Our guests are staying on St John for a couple nights, so we thank them for the lovely comments they left (although we cannot make heads or tails of some of them! We think they are good...Teenagers have a way with words!)
Thank you for the most incredible and fun filled journey through the BVI's. You have an incredible crew that has exceeded all our expectations. Embracing our family, our diverse personalities, and showing us how to celebrate every sunrise and ever sunset with the warmth of your smiles and laughter in your hearts. You are truly blessed to wake up every morning and do what you enjoy...Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us and teaching our children the great gifts nature offers and all the fun we can have just hanging out...screaming "FISH ON", dancing in the cockpit, playing Mafia, building sail boats, enjoying Kerrys homemade desserts, Brent humour and Cuban coffee (you rock!) and of course Simeon's special humour and knowledge of the sea and sailing and our special time in Peter Island.
This has been unforgettable, we will remember all of you for the memories you have imprinted in our hearts. Continue to live life with full throttle...Sail on...
All our love and appreciation..MAYRA AND LORENZO and VICKY AND ORLANDO, MIAMI
Obviously, thank you. Kerry, the food as you know was amazing. And the pictures were spectacular. Bazza thank you for not crashing us into a reef or thanks for being a great captain. Your skills in Mafia were dubious and deceiving and your knowledge of the islands and marine science was never ending. It is quite amazing. Shark attack was a great experience and good luck with your ROV!
Brenton you weasel/squirrel/Canadian Goose/Liar/Brett/Brenton, we hope your "ski-dooing" goes swell and we hope you have yet another SPC this coming year. We know you will win your crazy Albertan. Stay out of trouble with the OPP and stay away from those shot ski's you crazy "CUBAN ASO" party animal. And keep your Canadian persnickitiness while you are high on Cuban coffee. Simeon/Skippy/Scotty/Sims/Simbad thanks for totally destroying and breaking my shoulder. Your "Scottish" accent still makes us wonder since you don't drink scotch or golf! Keep mumbling it keeps people questionning! We hope your trip goes well and we know you will get to Europe and find a sweet girl to settle down with and have eight children and become rich and famous. Or Sofia will find you in 15 years and you will be worse off! Honestly, it is your choice. Keep diving and keep living. We hope your adventure continues to find you all.
All of you are great people with incredible hobbies and such a passion to live the life you love.
PS: Long live the Tilley Hat (the air flo model) and Scotland!
Best trip and crew! Brianna MIAMI AND COSTA RICO

Dear Promenade: I am so sad my trip is over because I could live on this boat forever. The food was the best food ever. Playing with Brent and SImeon was the bomb.
