I think it is time to finish up one charter before I start the next! We were back on dock early this morning for packing and a 10 AM drop off...I made cinnamon buns that were gobbled down in no time flat! We had an air conditioner not working properly AGAIN (although he tells me it is working like a dream now) and it was so hot and sticky we thought we were all going to melt away... Unfortunately a couple of our guests caught a flu/cold bug, but at least it held off until the last couple days! They packed up their fishing and diving gear, their cigars, and they are on their way to Long Bay Resort for a final day of relaxation.

It was a busy non stop activity week all the way around, and unusually (unless things break) Bazza had to work harder then any of us!
Thank you all, for a great fishing week (my guests tonight are getting fresh mackerel as well!) and for leaving us such nice comments! These guests usually go on Moorings Crewed, but they did pronounce the beds softer, the pillows softer, the fishing no comparision, and the crews, well on moorings they have had good and bad, but we are glad they decided to come see us!
We begin our vacations with two basic criteria- soft beds and cold beer. After those basic necessities are met, it's off to the fun stuff and your team had more then taken care of that!
This was our first charter with such a large group and your boat and crew did an amazing job of keeping us fed, entertained and happy with drinks. Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm for our fishing habit (final count, 5 shark, 15 fish "keepers" and COUNTLESS others we put back for next time) Kerry- thanks for making sure to keep track of who caught the biggest

Please take this note as an appreciation for what you all do so well and all the little things you did to make our week such a great experience. We will be thinking of all of you and wishing you luck, safety, and happiness on your future charters and subsequent personal adventures. THE PURVISES
Kerry and Bazza: Thank you for helping us to decide where we should spend each day. We had so much fun! Simeon, thank you for your diving adventures with our boys. They will always remember these dives thanks to you. We wish you well in your sailing adventures. Brent, thank you for meeting our needs with such thoughtfulness and humor. YOu helped to make this trip fun and light hearted. We hope you all the best and are grateful for all you've done for us this week. REMOUNTARS
Then the chicken with the head cut off routine started. In the sweltering humidity. Getting ready for our guests who were arriving at 3 PM. Patouche did a great job, putting all 4 of them on here and the outside of the boat was cleaned in less then 2 hours. Dora finished the rooms in 3 hours, and I scrubbed the galley and saloon, put away laundry and provisions while the boys did the other assorted million things that needed to be done! We were ready by 130. Note we were picking up at 3 in Roadtown! Extra time...Which we used to go onto the diesel dock in Baughers Bay to ensure we did not run out of diesel this week, if they wanted to run the air conditioning every night,,,
I took the car to town and proceeded to "fill in all the gaps" on the shopping.
Our new guests had quite the time with the ferries getting to Tortola. They took the front desks word for it in St Thomas that there was a 115 from Red Hook over to Roadtown (and believe me, they look you straight in the eye and tell you it is so, without even batting an eye...usually totally wrong information!)
The guests took a very expensive taxi ride from the airport to Red Hook, only to find out that there was no 115 ferry...But there was a 315 going to Roadtown (which raised my radar let me tell you!) but ok, you know the schedules change around all the time.
Does this look like Roadtown ferry dock? Nope, it does not! The girls called us when they were docked at West End (and we were anchored in Road Harbour) to tell us they were waiting behind all the boxes of pampers to get off! I asked them to see if the ferry carried onto Roadtown, and nope, of course not...

We told them to stay put and made it down to West End late this PM to pick them up. I imagine in this picture they are asking Brent how they are all supposed to get in the dinghy???

It was solved, the luggage came first...

And then the boys brought their little ducklings all in a row!!

At least they are all smiling, but it could be because I promised them painkillers when they got on the boat!

Which we had. 10 California girls between 60 and 68!!

Not sure why this is in here. Bazza took it to help me out I think while I was being a chatty cathy on the way over to Jost Van Dyke. Not sure what they were sailing with, we certainly were not showing any wind!

Orientation and dinner all kind of ran into each other...

They toasted the start of a dream vacation...

And enjoyed dinner...A few were brave enough to venture out to Foxy's tonight with Brent... Yes, this is Brent below. I guess he has decided that since we have all women, that he would be One two! Hates to be left out our Brent does! These ladies say that Simeon has "Brad Pitt" eyes. Great. It was bad enough with the "sex god" label, I am not sure we will be able to live with him now with the "Brad Pitt eyes" label!
Must admit that I am (we are all) starting to get tired, and the 24 hour turnaround we have at the end of this charter is going to feel like a holiday!!! Brent did bring me fried won tons from the chinese place tonight, which were enjoyable...
I hear rumours that one of the multihulls that had line anchors parted their lines and grounded, effectively putting them out of charter for awhile, but I am not going to say the name, unless I hear something more then unsubstantiated rumours...
There are power boats zipping all over these island today, for the big poker run tomorrow at Leverick Bay. I understand like 50 boats showed up from Puerto Rico and Medalia (a big beer in PUerto Rico) is part way sponsoring the event, which is humorous if true as you cannot even buy it here!
I did squeeze in a few hours last weekend at the Tortola Boat Show looking at a couple new boats, I have stories and pictures and I might even have time soon to put them up.
I know, I am rambling now, so will go to bed.
I also managed somehow totally to forget to order ANY lemons and Limes for this charter!
