I believe we may be doing a little fishing this week AND diving in the Virgin Islands
feels like last week alreadY?) I put on a pair of shorts that i have not worn for 3 years AND they fit!! Not only did they FIT!! I could actually sit down in them without feeling binded (don't like tight clothes, once I got over the age of 16 when I wanted to lay down on the bed with a clothes hangar to do up the zips on my jeans, my favorite wear has been PJ's hands down. ) I don't mean PJ's with bottoms and tops either. I mean sleevelss night gowns (I might be ok with those if I lived in chilly old Canada, but I don't live there now). I do have standards thought, I try and keep the ones that are not totally see through for on charter!
I think maybe I am babbling...Lack of sleep and 48 emails to answer, one dive ops meeting minutes to get out and ten hungry guests to cook for could do it. The crew seems to be eating a lot as well and always hungry, but it is certainly not because they are being starved on charter!
Once again the dock proved the best place to be, when our guests called in advance to make sure we sent a LARGE taxi as they had lots of bags! The advance guard was looking normal///
What is he carrying on his shoulder?
Is it a bazzoka? Perhaps they have a new way of fishing. I wonder if they know that dynamiting fish out of the water here is illegal??
Here comes the rear guard, once again proving that a storage space at the end of the dock for bags is a great idea!!
The last week we had tons of diving equipment. This week we have that but we also have more...approx 250 cigars! 4 men maybe who smoke them, that is about 60 apiece, or almost 9 per person per day! We shall see...Some of it had to do with the fact that a lot of them were stolen out of one of the bags in MIami or Puerto Rico! Terrible...I think each week for the last 3-4 weeks we have had guests with things stolen out of their luggage on the airlines. The airlines say it could be TSA so they are not responsible, and I bet you know what TSA says don't you?????
The amount of cigars were only topped by the amount of (nice, brand new, high end, not St Thomas KMART quality fishing gear they brought! I am not sure Bazza has stopped drooling yet and it is 6 hours later!)
The bazooka is coming apart and wait for it...
Yep, another 8 -10 rods to go with the 8 we have on the boat! What a week, each person on board, including the crew and the girls who say they just want beer and a bikini each get their own personal little fishing rod to catch dinner with! I just hope we have better luck then we have had the last couple weeks!
Now we also have cigars that come in briefcases that look like something out of James Bond!
These guys are good! Before they even had a cocktail on the boat they were spooling the lines on the rods and we were fishing away as soon as leaving harbour. We caught a nice little Grouper (bait)
That our guest promptly stuck his hands down his gullet trying to get back our bait!!! I was impressed. There are teeth there!
Bazza found his own little spot to fish from, it is not often that the boat is so full of fishermen that he has to go sit in the dinghy and fish....that is unless he is in the dog house??? Na, too busy with work to be mad at an aging puppy!
Only ten guests tonight, so back to table service for dinner instead of the night buffet for larger numbers AND we do not have anyone sleeping in the saloon, so the boat is feeling much emptier.
The boys had a large fish on for over two hours after dinner, which was exciting. What was not exciting was that they lost it after having it on for two hours!

SCUBA Diving on Blonde Rock....
Lets see if I can catch up here before I get any further into this new charter! We had a dive on the RHONE again yesterday morning, and then we decided the last dive of the week would be at Blonde Rock, which, I find is always a great dive. The cup corals are always brilliant there, as you can see...

Their were two lobsters out fighting, this one was the larger and they did not give one whit about us divers! They ignored us. The larger one won, and the smaller one skedaddled...

There were some nice crabs around the dive...
After our dive it was time to go to Cooper Island for some rest, relaxation, and Hamburgers! I think Brent is burning down the boat here, as he had the grill in one hand and the water hose in the other! Just trying to save those arm hairs,
I must have been gone for this, as apparently shots came out at lunch time...
Then it was time to put out the power lounger for awhile....
There was all kinds of nonsense going on, such as waterskiing, wake boarding and PREDATORING (get them all out for the last afternoon!
We had a very fast sail back to Harbourview Late afternoon so we could drag all the dive gear bags out of the storage locker as they had a 515 AM ferry pick up! Yep, that was rough. Bushwackers were more then enjoyed at dinner hour, and beyond, but they were all good sports and up by quarter to five! Our cab driver forget to set his alarm though, so we had to track him down. With the guests leaving so early in the morning, and us going back out on charter mid afternoon, we were able to have the boat totally cleaned and turned around by 9 AM, the boys had a bit of a nap, Bazza and I went to town shopping and to the boat show and we are off sailing again.
It was a good week with divers on board, and seem to go very quickly! Of course they left us nice comments, I am not going to write nasty ones!
Thanks all you, it was fun to get some diving and photography in and I will NEVER forget our experiences on the Chikuzen!!

This was by far the best vacation I have ever had. You guys are so good at you you do, you make your guests welcome and part of the "family" I know this is your job, but you all put your heart into it and it shows. Being one of the new "divers", I could not have completed my 12 dives without the expertise of Simeon. He was an excellent Instructor with patience, kindness and superb skills. I finally did a safety stop! Thanks for everything, I hope to experience another vacation with all of you! BEST, PATTY, VA
