Some of us, who have been on the boat numerous times, remembered that it was quite easy to hit your head! Of course, it could be on the people who might had had a touch too much wine the night before...Maybe it is possible!

It appeared with Carnival, most things were closed...Did find it amusing to find a barge that said US Army on it!

The girls went downtown to shop, but with the childrens parade being on, and not much open, it was fairly unsuccessful (to the mens utter delight!)

No cruise ships in today. Not a one. Probably really why the stores were closed! Some assumed the same position they have assumed every other year...

We went down around the west end of St Thomas for a snorkel first, and yep, still as cloudy and bloomy as every... We were surprised however to find on the north side, MANY tarp and tent vilages on the outlying islands!



Not sure what these two were doing...Yoga??? Tantric Sex????

If you look in the sky behind this boat you will see a plane coming in to land as well..

We did a lot of trolling, with high quality our own Bazza rigged ballyhoo with three hooks in them !! Alas, we had one strike the entire time, that was it. I hear that the Marlin etc are in with this bloom, but truthfully, our fishing luck has sucked big time lately!

We were trying to figure out what this structure was, first we thought and old fort, but then our final answer was a sewage tank that was emptied out from here! Who knows!

We pulled into a lovely little spot off Magens Bay with our own private little beach, which meant all our guests jumped straight in the water...

Before cocktails that was!

THIS was the sunset and truly lovely it was as well!

We were all gathered around for a shrimp pesto pasta tonight,

Some looking way merrier then others did!

Oh wait, not looking that merry, looks like he may be taking a nap in his dinner...after all, it is ALMOST 9 PM and they are still up!

It was a good day....

HIGHER SWINE FLU ALERT SEE CHANGE IN CLEARANCE PROCEDURES

Thursday, April 30 – New customs clearance procedures will be implemented from this Friday, in Government’s ongoing quest to strengthen its effort to mitigate the impact of the dreaded Swine Flu (H1N1) virus on the Territory.
After consultations by the Ministry of Health and Social Development and the local Pandemic Influenza Taskforce, Her Majesty’s Customs has issued an advisory to the boating community.
The advisory states that all customs clearance procedures will only be processed through three designated ports of entry until further notice. They are the Road Town and West End Ferry Terminals in Tortola and the Spanish Town Ferry Dock in Virgin Gorda.
Yachters wishing to dock on Jost Van Dyke, Anegada, or any other sister island are advised that they must clear customs at one of the designated locations. Comptroller of Her Majesty’s Customs Mr. Wade Smith said those precautionary measure will be in force until further notice.
Visitors who fail to comply with the new procedures may be charged with illegal entry into the Territory.
Meanwhile, cargo vessels docking in the Territory will continue to be processed at Port Purcell. However there will be additional screening and inspections by officers of the Environmental Health Department and the Department of Agriculture.

The decision to implement new procedures for clearing customs followed the World Health Organisation’s announcement that the global influenza pandemic alert has been increased from Phase 4 to the more serious Phase 5. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Irad Potter is also encouraging residents of the Territory to restrict unnecessary travel as much as they can amid the increased level of alert for a Swine Flu pandemic.
Several Government agencies have been working collaboratively to monitor Swine Flu reports since the outbreak began, in order to implement measures to safeguard the Territory from its impact. The local Pandemic Influenza Taskforce is led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Irad Potter, Chief Executive Officer of the BVI Health Services Authority Dr. Ronald Georges, Health Disaster Coordinator Mrs. Dawn Leonard, and Director of the Department of Disaster Management Ms. Sharleen DaBreo.
