We are having one of "those" weeks, you know, where everything breaks about the moment that you touch it. All three minutes before you go on charter?
Started with baking bread for lunch the first day...no oven, blown fuse somewhere that we did not have a replacement for, so he had to jury rig it.
Then, we had an A/C not working properly, an hour after we left marina, so we had to go back to the storage locker to get gas for it.
Battery on the generator croaked, so we had to work around that.
Then yesterday the oven would not work again, so he tore it all apart and it was something different.
The steering on the dinghy was very stiff, so we spent the time greasing it yesterday afternoon only to have the cable snap this morning... (probably no replacements anywhere on island!!) (addendum: they had one at the chandlery at Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor! Yeah! No driving in wide circles all week.
The girls enjoyed Beans Music show last night very much and it was an early night to on the yacht, I think all were in bed before 9. I have found it very clammy the last few days here, which I have not liked adjusted to after the great sleeping weather we have had for a couple months now!

After a snorkel at Diamond Reef, a quick stop at Aragorns for craft shopping we made our way sailing over to the Baths via Spanishtown for the cable. Kept on hearing calls on the radio about the Coast Guard looking for people clinging to rocks out at White Horses on the reef. Turns out that last evening a boat hit the reef and everyone had to jump over board. It was about 25 Haitians, and they are still searching for at least 4 of them. It really is sad. We are sailing that way tomorrow, so we will see if there is any more activity around there, heading up to the conch mountain on the end of Anegada, and hopefully for some snorkeling on the reef depending on seas.
While the girls did the Baths, I jumped in the water to cool off with my camera. There is really nothing there of that reef. If you go down to 60 feet in the sand, there are ALWAYS many large sting rays, so I took a few pictures of them.

Did see an Eagle Ray and an octopus though! The octopus was out and by the time I had my camera in position he was in his lair. Nice anemone with a purple tint though!

Defaulted to trying to take arty pictures of the buoys and it really just did not do it!

It was nice and refreshing in the water though. This is a picture of one of the very large sailing yachts anchor. Guess they don't much care about where it is and if it is set, but probably enough weight on that baby not to go too far today!

We had a splendid sail from the Baths up to Eustatia Island this afternoon, we were getting 9-10 knots and the seas were pretty flat. Can't ask for more then that!

This is sunset over Prickly Pear Island tonight. Few boats in here tonight with the kite surfers out and about.

And, finally, our granddaughter more picture of!

I love this picture, this tiny little baby in this gigantic bed! Made me laugh.
