I think I dropped more sponges and rags in the water then I could count on my cleaning spree this weekend:)
I was actually forced to get in the water to rescue a sponge yesterday. That may sound nice, but I am not a big fan of snorkeling in the mangroves there...I know how many baby sharks there are there, not to mention the few other boats that were there and not knowing whether they were using holding tanks or not..... AND there was quite a bit of junk in the water from the hurricane, (but no dead cows this time!) But off I boldly went! I am not sure if you can tell but there was many many hairy little crabs on the roots here and the same kind were coming up on our lines when we pulled them up. The green blob in the middle.

Bazza finished off fixing in between the ama and painting in preparation for the trampolines to go back on. One more job close to done.

I had an amazing encounter with a tiny little turtle yesterday that thought he should come up our ladder. He was this tiny, no more then a few inches long!!!

He must have been just born as you could still see where the umbilical cord was attached here...

Look at his little head, he is so cute! We finally convinced him that he should be in the water not the boat, although he hung around for quite awhile. First time i have seen this!

We managed to tear ourselves way from the mangroves and head back to Tortola today. Passed down the outside of Virgin Gorda where rumour has it that they are going to survey and fill in the bay by the airport and make a LARGE airport on Virgin Gorda. We are over at Fat Hogs Bay on East End, and took all our lines into our new workshop at the end of the dock at Harbourview Marina. I might tell you about that in tomorrows entry! We were making lists of things we had to do in town tomorrow, from banks to Immigration etc etc when, it was brought to a screeching halt by the knowledge that tomorrow is a holiday here! So much for town stuff, and since we have to be down in St Thomas Tuesday, perhaps we will go a day early instead in the hopes of getting back a day earlier!
