No we still don't have internet on the boat and I am on the beach at Foxys getting eaten alive by mosquitos, so I will be brief!
A slower start the other morning with a shop and look around Saba rock, while I stole the internet on the boat – Hurrah!
Seas were pretty flat today so we decided to head on out to the chikuzen!! And what dives we had, we stopped there for 2! First one with Richie, they saw the huge old Jew fish who lives around the boat and spent a lot of the dive with him, he was quite interested in what they were doing on his wreck, there was also a smaller one around too.
Heres the big old boy
We had some lunch and then off again, this time I get to go and I took Mr B for good measure! We saw the smaller Jew fish again, along with an eagle ray being chased by a cobia. As I got to the end of the wreck I saw another eagle ray and then another, there were 2 swimming in a circle with each other!! No one else saw them! All the usual characters were around to, the big barracuda, horse eye jacks…… What a dive!
It was then a cruise in to Muskmelon bay, there was water sports, banana boating, wake boarding and some of the group went off for a dive in the bay. The boys went off for a night dive with Richie, there was only a couple of keen ones, so instead of going off the back of the boat, Rich took them over to the corner by Time square. It was Toms first night dive and what a treat it was
This morning every one was bright eyed and bushy tailed, after a hearty breakfast, we dived Time Square, quite murky, but a fabulous dive all the same, big lobster, moray, millions of silver sides, with mackrel and pimentos surrounding them.
We had a quick snorkel stop at Monkey Point, as fabulous as always! A spinnaker run took us down to Brewers Bay, quite clear for a change, off Richie goes, while I make some lunch, only to be told as his mouth comes out the water…… sea horse!!!!!! How unimpressed was I!
They saw some other pretty cool stuff too
any how, off we go, back to the boat, we have some diving to do, hopefully I will get some internet this weekend when we get back to Road Town!

After their early night last night every one was up and about quite early, so it was breakfast and off for a dive. We had to change our plans for our first dive due to kids clubs, invading all the moorings we wanted to use, so a quick change of plans and straight on to the Rhone! We did 2 fabulous dives their, first the bow and then a shallower dive to see the propellor. Rich got some fabulous pictures as ever!
The bow, the water was unbelievably clear!
A big barracuda
another big one under the boat
a huge grouper, at least 2-3 feet long!
safety stops
Lots of moon jellies at the moment
After a hearty lunch, most went off to search for sea glass on Salt Island and came back with some great treasures, there was snorkeling on man head point and a few went for an afternoon dive in the bay, looks like it was a s good as usual from Richies pictures, he got a million blenys, his favorite!
A sunset sail took us to Cooper, where I am finally getting internet and making the most of it!
Well I have been quiet for a few days now, not intentional I promise, our internet net work has been down and anything like that always takes for ever to get back up again!
So what has happened on the good ship Promenade in my absense?? Well, we said good bye to our family who had been here for 2 weeks, we had a fabulous time with them and the other families who came with them, we all dived our hearts out and it was a sad farewell! They left some great comments in the guest book:
“oh my goodness! These past 2 weeks have been so much fun! Thank you so much for all you have done! I have had a blast and will miss being down here. You all have given us one of the best vacations! You have kept us fed, entertained and relaxed! I have loved it, thank you so much!”
“We can not express how much we appreciate all you have done to make this vacation an amazing experience. The time we have shared with you and our friends will forever be some of the best memories in our lives. We talked about you all through out the year as we remembered different things that happened on the Promenade last year. This year we experienced 2 weeks that will bring fond memories through out this year. Your kindness, patience, knowledge, cuisine and energy are untouchable!”
“WOW! What an amazing week! Thank you so much for making every single moment pure enjoyment. We truly understand why the Roberts added another week this year. The diving was fantastic. Most of all, getting to know 3 lovely, knowledgeable, witty, cunning, talented new people made our time on Promenade something we will treasure.”
I know Mr B will forever be great full for your kind “Superstache” comments, he is cultivating it as I type!!
We had a busy day friday, getting the boat ready for our new charter. All the guests arrived yesterday safely, we have 12 guests for a week, 10 of whom are divers! So we are going to have a great, big dive week!
Here they are arriving
We have a very full boat this week! It was a bit of a late start, by the time we got to Little Harbor, did our first dive, it was straight into cocktail hour and then first night dinner!
It was then straight to bed for most of our group, it had been a long day for most and they were ready for their beds!

Only 5 made it for breakfast this morning, all those early nights and afternoon naps are exhausting don't you know!
Anyhow, we set off for Norman Island, the kids and the big kids slept quite well on the way over, the seas were flat today, but we managed to sail once past Soapers hole, it is summer - yeah!!!!!
We went straight to Angel fish reef, look how flat it is
The dive was great, no pictures I am afraid, Richy was other wise engaged, there was a bit of a current, but we managed to duck in and out of it, so no picture of my shark! A 5 foot reef shark!
Emily went kayaking
The seagulls used the power lounger
The guys went snorkeling after a nap after lunch, then we went for an afternoon dive on Angel fish reef, these guys love this reef!! another amazing dive on there, 3 rays, eels, conch, no sharks this time!
Then we all went and did some wake boarding and skiing
Heres David, wake boarding, Rich did too, I had a water ski and B got up on a mono ski!
The sunset was fabulous
This evening was a transitional night dive, it was Davids first, it looked fabulous from Richies pictures
Dinner was my favorite, steak! they are watching a movie as I type and I am off to bed!

It was a fabulous meal last night, the lobster was a ridiculous size as always, I had lamb, which was a real treat, here we are
Mr B looks like he is asleep!
The weather was great again today, the seas virtually flat, we had a relaxing sail away from Anegada, there was a cats cradle frenzy, I am no good apparently, it makes no sense!
On out sail we were passing the Chikuzen wreck, so it would have been rude to not stop and have a quick dive! I was so excited and I was not disappointed! Of course now Rich has his posh new camera, you never have the right lense for anything, so he didn't get pictures of the sharks, eagle ray, cobia, barracuda or horse eye jacks, but he did get some good ones
This could be the cobia, not very clear though!
It has been a while since we did that dive! Our plan was to head to Muskmelon, to our horror as we came around the corner, this is what we saw
10 kids club boats anchored, I hope none of them are on the reef! So we by passed that and headed on to Jost, we had a banana boat along the way to Sandy Cay, there is a guy on Sandy cay who is paid to keep the little trails clear around the island, what a job!
Then on to Great harbor, where I saw the funniest thing a man on a hydro scooter, you stand on it, push the handle bars up and down and the thing moves along the water, i would be embarrased to be seen on one!

A brief entry tonight, we are just waiting to go out to dinner at Anegada Reef Hotel, lobster here we come! The weather has been fabulous, nice and calm, we had a great sail over, the guys headed ashore just after lunch and made it back in time for cocktails! They had a great afternoon swimming, snorkeling and sun bathing!
The crew spent a while removing several cauliflower jelly fish from various places they weren't supposed to be! There are a few around at the moment, I cant say I have ever seen them before, but they are supposed to give a bit of a sting, so we will make sure we stay clear!
Kerry and Bazza look like they are having a fabulous time, very beautiful where they are and I would trade 10 minutes in that fog and cold, it is getting seriously hot here!
