Its that time of week again, when its a go big day as its the last day! We left Jost straight after breakfast yesterday and made our way to Norman Island for a water sports extravaganza! Once past west end it was a great sail and we got a new captain, not sure what's going on with B!
Once at Norman, it was straight in for a snorkel at the caves, B went with the kids and came back with an interesting tattoo
Apparently he was viciously attacked by a sea urchin, it was big and attacked at lightening speed and was completly unprovoked! Hhhhhmmmmmm!
After lunch, the kids got me on the banana boat, my first time on that! It was a lot of fun, but I drank a lot of sea water! I then was very ambitous and had a quick water ski to show the rest how it was done! and boy do I ache today!
It was a great last day and to finish we made Anne and Buck a Promenade cake to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary, its not till August but I think they can celebrate as early and as long as they like!
It was a sad farewell this morning, we have had a fabulous, action packed week with the group, B missed his predator rides this afternoon with the kids! They did leave us some great comments in our guest book too:
We loved the secluded places that you found for us. The snorkeling was really fabulous. You did a great job at keeping up with the kids energy (B!) Thank you for taking such good care of us!
Thank you for a wonderful cruise. Lisa, Richard, Brent were so patient with our Grand children as well as finding interesting spots to entertain us all. The Caribbean is beautiful, the boat comfortable and amazing, the crew exceptional!!
Thank you guys, thats too kind!
So now the boat is all clean and ready to go again tomorrow.......
I have the following dates open still this year which I am willing to bargain on, give me an email if you are interested! Price and terms depends on how many people, for how long!

We can help with your transportation and the logistics of getting back and forth to our charter yacht!
Our many repeat guests tell us frequently to structure it so they can get off a plane and get on the boat. We can arrange for a charter flight to meet your group in San Juan, and whisk you to Beef Island where we can pick you up by arrangement.
On availability the night before your charter we can offer part day rates, for sleeping accomodation. This is especially important in high season when many hotels are requesting a three night minimum stay.
We can tailor our pick ups so we pick you up late in the afternoon or drop you off first thing in the morning, depending on your flight plans.
We am happy to work with you on all aspects, our goal is to make your vacation as stress free as we possibly can.
With the ever decreasing amount of luggage that you are allowed to bring on flights, why bother bringing SCUBA gear down with you? Ours is all NEW! The one exception to this is a mask and snorkel that you are comfortable with.
Don't bother lugging shampoo, body wash etc etc. We have it all!

Every one was pretty exhausted last night, the kids were tucked in bed, the big kids watched a movie and this morning there was a lot of lying in too! Except for the kids, they were bright eyed and bushy tailed at 7am!
So today! We cruised to Monkey point for an after breakfast snorkel
It was a spectacular one, there were tarpon galore
a flounder
an arty window shot
a cute pelican about to fly away
Anne hung out on the rocks watching the world go by
Then a nurse shark was spotted
and to top it all off Rich found something new, its not the best picture, these are all with our little snorkel camera, hence the quality
We had to look it up, it is a mollusc and it is called a Sea hair, now I stamped my little foot when he said he had seen a shark and not come to get me, but to see new things with out me! and where was I you may ask, baking cookies!
So after discovering new species, we sailed on down to Jost, it was a beautiful spinnaker run
We had super heros aboard
We even caught fish and yes the deck hand was no where near Kerry, the sending him to the bathroom really works!
Heres Rick with his fish!
and the day was finished with painkillers in soggy dollar and a predator for the kids!
Today, Spirit has put on sale some great rates to St Thomas in August and September, and just coincidentally, we still are open between August 11th and 30th.
Check out there prices (quickly, like today) at Spirit Sale
I am not expecting to see these prices around too often. Once you have checked out those flights, contact kerry@yachtpromenade.com and we will see what type of deal we can work out!
I know I have some family groups that are sitting on the fence!

After a wildlife extravaganza last night with the flamingo, this morning we had wild goats and a pair of flamingos! They were just strutting down the beach, very romantic!
After breakfast we got going and headed down towards the Dogs, it was a very peaceful sail, it was very busy down at the Dogs and we don't like sharing our spots so we kept sailing on by and ended up at Marina Cay for a quick snorkel there. We were beaten to the mooring by a bare boat, we weren't quite sure what they were doing, picking up or dropping off the buoy, so we sat back and watched them repeatedly drive over it, round it and on top of it, eventually they did pick up the buoy, then the end of the boat hook fell off and they lost the line, at this point they just turned around and drove off! I very kindly recovered there half a boat hook and we did return it to them!
Marina Cay is always a favorite spot for me, the seagulls were out in force
and a cute pelican posed for us
The snorkeling was great!
We were overnighting at mine and Richies favorite spot, Muskmelon Bay, it was flat, calm and best of all empty as we passed by the Iguana head and into our bay!
The kids, suprisingly, like the water sports, today was some new stuff though, out came the wake board and the knee board and what an amazing job they all did! First up the wake board........
Nearly there.....
Got it! First time ever and he's up and away! The knee boarders were just as good
I am not sure if this is a look of joy or horror!
Rich showed them how it was done
I found this one and thought it was rather cute, although not the best quality, the kids have taken to using their napkins to become pirates!

We didn't make it too far today, we spent our morning at Mountain Point, B took the kids on a snorkel to see the Moon Pool and a general look around, it was quite successful as they saw a turtle, well every one except B who wondered what they were all pointing at!
Richie fixed my internet for me after hundreds of phone calls! When it finally came back on, the number of email messages was scarey, it just kept going up!
Out came the banana boat, a new toy for the kids!
Whose the guest at the back of the banana boat????
Looks like Mr B!
Yep, thats definetly B! how did he sneak on there???
It finished how it always finishes, every one got wet! Although they tell me they meant to fall off for the camera!
A lunch time cruise took us into Bitter End, where they have mostly gone off shopping.
We decided to spend the night at Prickly Pear Island, the kids needed a final Predator for the day, some went solo
some mainly fell off!
and went to the beach instead
While we were sat having cocktails, something was spotted on the beach and much to our suprise........
a flamingo! we hopped in the dingy to go take a look, good picture Richie! All up to date now after our internet fiasco!
