Our swimmers did their last big swim yesterday, an hour and a half from Byres Bay to Willy T's bar! They arrived at Willy T's in style, I didn't ask where they kept their money, but all had a well deserved celebration drink! Along the way on the swim they also saw 4 turtles, a ray, probably a whale and a dolphin too!!
It was a suprisingly quiet night last night, we had cocktails, dinner and then every one looked ready for bed. The crew did their best to rally them all, we did a slide show of the pictures and movies we had taken of them all through out the week, very amusing, mainly thanks to Will's crazy antics and Nicoles dance moves ( I will never forget the one legged flamingo, with the finishing rebound!) B volunteered a speedo fashion show, hosted, produced and stared in by himself, at this point some disappeared off to bed!! The rest we entertained and a couple did take B out to Willy T's! It was quite hectic over there by all accounts as the Rugby team were out. When it was time to come home, they found a guy asleep in our dingy, B politely woke him up, the guy appologised, smiled and thanked us for the use of our very comfy dingy!!!!! Apparently he had tried a few out along the dock and ours was pretty cosy!
This morning, we had to wave good bye to our swimmers, it has been a great week, a completly new concept for Promenade, we look forward to welcoming them all back again next year!
