Do you know over here they do not seem to have "unlimited" internet plans?? You pay by the amount you download and upload and believe me, I am not very good at using little bandwidth so all the money I am spending seems to be going on internet! Well, maybe a bit of food!
It has been a busy few days. The weather has been perfect, mid twenties and not as humid as the BVI, so I was glad to see there heat spell had stopped by the time this pre-menopausal woman arrived!
This is a first, that anyone who has met me in the last 6 years has probably not seen! A self portrait here of me with a bit of make up on!! I know, what a difference! Of course, I kept on forgetting during the wedding and ended up wiping the mascara everywhere but it looked nice for a minute or two!

We had a good wedding, one child out of the 5 between us married off (note to children, you will be happier if you stagger them one every other year as opposed to all in a row as the last one who gets married won't be getting much!)
Here we are with Wade and Karen..Wade is Bazzas son.

And here we are with Bazzas side of the family! The dinner was good, and Karen looked beautiful, even if I thought she was going to have panic attacks trying to find a comfortable position to semi lay out in the limo with the dress on! We were definitely old fogies when it came to the music and shortly after the first dance Bazza and I were out of there. A couple funny things... there was a bit of time in between the ceremony and the reception. Everyone was hovering around and when they opened the doors of the bar, well, I had to laugh as there was practically a stampede! Also after every speech or toast, three quarters of the room would get up all at once and go outside for a smoke! There are many more smokers in Australia then there are nowadays in North America. Surprising to see when you are not used to it.

The next day we went over for the gift opening, but apparently some little miss bride could not WAIT until the gift opening and opened them all after coming home from the wedding that night. I teased her all afternoon about that, but it was a nice afternoon sitting around chatting.
The next interesting thing was we thought we would see if Bazza could get his passport renewed while here. We thought it was a long shot, but all we had to do was show up at the passport office yesterday, with photos (and money) answer how tall he was (they did not even want an address!) and we go back to pick it up on Wednesday. Wow. And it is valid for ten years!!!
With my Canadian passport I have to renew every 5 years, send in the birth certificate etc every time, give them a billion people as references who know me and can get hold of me AND get a guarantor every time (who has to be on some inane list of professions). I dread it! Sure surprised me that it was and is that easy here once you have your first one. While in Adelaide, Bazza wanted to pick what we had for lunch..not often he has ANY input on food for those who know him, so it must be something he likes! I was sceptical of these Yiros things, which Lisa would know as greek and we call Gyros in Canada and I certainly was NOT having the lamb ones, but the chicken was very good and one of the best sandwiches I have had for awhile!

By the time I was finished I had juice dripping all down to my elbows and of course on my breasts! nothing changes there!! Found a starbucks in Adelaide as well, so we did that.

Going through some of the pictures that Janice put on Facebook from the charter last week, I came across some "funny richy and B pictures" that I knew I HAD to share with the blog readers!! You will recognize them!
I am not sure what this is! Maybe it is stir crazy from the wind and swells that have been up in the BVI for the last, well, forever I believe!

And this one does not even need a caption, but I will say that it looks like both the boys are sucking there thumb and really perplexed about this coil of line! You must be feeding B too much as well Lisa, is that a bit of a belly I see on him???

And this cute picture of Janice and Lisa! Lisa loved her charter last week but thinks it is hard work being first one up and last one to bed as well! Could not agree more! She needs her beauty rest like I do!

Now, a couple funnies to finish off my blog entry today... Australian billboards that made me giggle...
"Stick it where it fits" Now I am not sure what your first thought is on this, but I have some ideas, but what it is is an ad for a storage place!
And I think my favorite, proving how environmentally friendly the entire world is becoming is the billboard that said
"Reduce carbon emissions. Walk to the pub!" Fairly appropos for Ozzies I would say!
