So Lisa and Bazza have gone to take the guests for a tour through Eustatia Sound to look for the flamingoes and then to Saba Rock and Bitter End for shopping! And you will never guess what we have to take them touring in!

Yep, we rented a power boat for awhile! Why? Well Bazza and I have some extra time as we are not really doing charter work, so we thought we would take pictures, and we thought it would be a good time, and I always try and find a treat or two for these people!
We had discussion on what we were going to call this boat. We started with Fast Lane as that is what we used to call the power boat we had. Then Lisa thought that boy blunder needed something with Promenade in it so he could remember it, so we thought Promenade Shuttle, and then we remembered that we had the "old folks of St marys" and Bazza closed the deal by calling it the Bingo Bus! And that is its name!!

Bazza and I were dropped off at Spanishtown to go get this boat from Leverick Bay Water sports, who gave us the best deal for the size of boat (big) we wanted, with a break for a longer period.
Here is their website
I hate to admit this, but this is the VERY first time in ten years that I have taken the cab ride up to Leverick Bay. Bazza told me to take out my camera as the views were amazing. Well that I knew, as I always tell the guests! I had only been on land about three minutes when I was repeating my mantra of "I hate land, I hate land". I felt sorry for the poor girl on cash at Bucks, 18 people in her line up, and she kept on telling one of the two male employees there to go on cash and they kept on ignoring her. Then we found a cab and off we went.
I climbed into one of those no shocks, board seats in a back of the pickup truck and dug out my camera ready to take pictures! Nope. Nope, Bad Idea!
Combine the no shocks with the turns on two wheels and the ups and downs and me thinking my 200 lb plus body is going to be launched right out the back, and you get the picture of me clutching on for dear life, holding my bag with my feet to keep it in the truck and the truck with one hand and the camera with the other as there was no way I could get it back in the bag!
Bazza tried to help but he had to wrestle the bottles of specialty vodkas I bought the guests and keep them in the truck as well!
I don't know how you land people do it! I would not want to take my life in my hands in that old truck too many times going down the road to Leverick Bay! I was happy as hell to get out of there and traumatized enough to say that I never wanted to do it again.
The funny thing was when I returned to the boat and was telling the guests about it they said "now you know why we don't want to go to the beaches on Anegada, without the hills it was the same thing" Now I know exactly what they mean.
Now, the views were fantastic and i highly recommend the views...if you rent a car and don't go with Speedy Gonzales. This is the only picture I managed to snap!

Managed to amuse myself waiting for the boat by taking pictures of crabs, they are camflouged pretty good!

And here is the close up of the crab

And notice all the construction going on behind Leverick Here? In fact, we saw a lot of new roads cut in the hills all over Virgin Gorda

And another picture of the Flamingo's! I certainly hope they were still there this morning!

We took the boat for a spin all around North Sound, Oil Nut, Eustatia and then zipped down and found Promenade at dusk just going through the Mosquito Cut.

Then we still had time waiting for them to anchor, so we took pictures of mosquito island

And the kiteboarders who were enjoying all the wind. I personally, was just thinking about this time that we needed long pants, as it was chilly! Funny seeing this 26' boat with only twin 90's on it! If we owned it it would have to have a lot more than that on it, but I can understand if you are renting it out you don't want too much power on it!
