Changing from sail to motor!
Fellow Canadians Gary and Laurie Rainthorpe had owned and operated one of the most successful charter yachts for 2 guests in the Caribbean for the last 11 years. Although always just seeing each other as dinghies passing in the harbor, they had a similar love of boating and RV's and they parked their camper very close to my parents place on Vancouver Island, Canada in the summer. On the few times we crossed paths we would talk about boats and RV's! They have recently had some exciting news.
They have sold Silent Partner to a couple who have been on their yacht for several years and were itching to get into the chartering world and they themselves, instead of running away to their RV, have hung up their sailing gloves to explore the Caribbean with a brand new Nordic 54' Tug that ANOTHER one of their charter guests has just had built! They will be returning in October to operate it as a luxurious charter yacht for 2-4 guests. I am excited for them, and I am sure this boat will be quickly booked up as Silent Partner was for them.
